Dogs are a part of our DNA. Every member of our team understands and nurtures the individual needs of every dog that joins our daycare community. We strive to ensure your dog is content and getting the most out of their days at Little Urban Wolves.
Each day dogs participate in engaging training activities. We work with dogs to strengthen their basic obedience, impulse control, and manners. While supporting dogs to grow in their confidence, social skills and independence. Each visit your dog will try something new, ensuring no two days are the same.
We pride ourselves on harbouring a friendly and open relationship with our clients to provide best outcomes for the dogs in our care. We value our dog community and helping owners feel supported and heard when it comes to the care and welfare of their little wolf.
All dogs that attend Little Urban Wolves must meet the following requirements
7am Our doors open bright an early, with our team ready to welcome your dog to a fun-filled day at daycare. Upon arrival your Little Wolf will be given a quick health check before being united with their much loved friends for free play and goofiness.
10am Arrivals close and the day's classes begin. Training is always fun and engaging, while matching the level of difficulty to each dog. Every day your Little Wolf will learn something new, or build on a skill they already have. We work with food lures when teaching new commands and concepts, once established we progress to attention and affection rewards. This removes the dependancy on food as a reward.
11am Team supervised morning snacks are served on a group platter. Our guidance reduces resource guarding, while supporting social bonds. Vegetables and fruits are selected to ensure nutritional needs are being met, while providing a range of textures to stimulate your Little Wolf's mind.
11.30am Through free play dogs are free to interact with dogs of a similar energy level. Our team guide play and interact to assist dogs who may need a little support to find friends on their level. One on one Auntie time is also carried out during this time. We ensure every Little Wolf gets one on one time with their favourite Aunties everyday!
12.30pm We repurpose various everyday objects to create engaging activities for dogs. Dogs are natural scavengers, using their nose to find food, and employing problems solving skills to gain access to that food.
We always welcome donations of items such as toilet rolls, egg cartons, vitamin bottles and magazines. All items we use can either be disinfected for future use, or placed into recycling after use. You never know what creative enrichment activities the team will create next!
1pm Each day we brush and massage every Little Wolf at daycare. This allows us to become familiar with what is normal for your dog, we will always mention any points for concern and may even recommend a visit to the vet. Brush and massage time also provides important bonding and relaxation time. Which is perfect after a busy day of wolfing about with friends :)
2pm Nap time is an essential part of everyday. All Little Wolves are encouraged to find a comfy spot, the main lights are turned off and a gentle hush falls over the group. Nap time ensures your Little Wolf is rested and relaxed for home time.
3pm Nap time is over, and dogs are now free to relax or gently play as home time begins.
This is also the time our team clean and disinfect our entire facility to ensure every surface is fresh and clean for the next day.
